Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-25. Tinyhearth Games ("we", "us") is making a mobile game for iPhone. This page explains what personal data we collect on our early-access pages and, later, in the game, why, and your choices. We try to keep it short and plain.
Who we are
The data controller is Tinyhearth Games, a trading name of Thomas Butler, 6796 Accipiter Dr, New Market, MD 21774, USA. Contact: thomasnatb1@gmail.com.
Our game is in development
The game on these pages is not released yet. The pages are an early-interest test: you can leave your email to be told when the game is ready. Nothing on these pages is an App Store listing or a promise of a release date.
What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Basis | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
Your email address, when you press "Notify me". We also store which page (game idea) and which ad you came from (the utm_content and utm_campaign values in the link). | To email you once when the game is available, and to learn which game ideas people like. | Your consent (you chose to submit it). You can withdraw at any time. | We aim to delete it within 12 months of signup, or soon after we send the release notice if that comes first. We delete signups by hand, so it can take a little longer, and Google may hold backup copies for a limited time. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will do so and reply within 30 days. |
If you press Accept on the cookie banner: Meta Pixel data (cookie identifiers such as _fbp/_fbc, your IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed, and a "signup" event). | To measure and improve the performance of our Facebook and Instagram ads. | Your consent. Declining has no effect on whether you can sign up. If you accept and then press "Notify me", Meta may also receive a hashed (scrambled) version of the email you type, because its pixel can read contact fields on the page. | Controlled by Meta (see below). We keep our own copy of aggregate results only. |
We do not sell your data and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (under 16 where local law requires).
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
Our pages set no cookies of their own. We store one small item in your browser (lp_consent_v1) that remembers your cookie choice. This is strictly necessary to respect that choice.
If you press Accept, we load the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms. Meta may set cookies and receive the data above (including, if you type your email, a hashed copy of it), and acts as an independent controller for its own purposes under its privacy policy. If you press Decline, the pixel is not loaded. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. You can also manage ads in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings. When you press Decline we also remove the Meta cookies this site could have set.
Facebook and Instagram in-app browser. If you open this page from an ad inside the Facebook or Instagram app, the page opens in that app's own browser. Meta controls that browser and may observe what you do on the page, including what you type, whatever you choose on our cookie banner. Our banner cannot control this. To avoid it, open the page in Safari or Chrome instead (use the menu in the in-app browser) and do not enter your email in the in-app browser if that concerns you.
Who else handles your data
- Google (Google Forms and Google Sheets) stores email signups and the anonymous counts on our behalf.
- Meta Platforms, only if you accept the pixel.
- Our web host (Cloudflare Pages) delivers these pages and may keep standard server logs (such as IP address) for security and operation.
These providers may process data outside your country (including in the United States). We rely on their standard contractual terms and safeguards for transfers where required.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the UK and EU under UK GDPR/GDPR, Canada under PIPEDA and provincial laws, and Australia under the Privacy Act), you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to withdraw consent, or to object to processing. Email thomasnatb1@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk).
Email (CASL and similar rules). By pressing "Notify me" you give us your express consent to email you about this game. Every email will say who it is from (Tinyhearth Games, a trading name of Thomas Butler, with our address above) and will include a way to unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time.
The game itself (later)
When the game is released this page will be updated to describe what the app itself collects (for example gameplay analytics, ads and purchases) before it ships. Until then the game collects nothing, because it is not released.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. If the changes affect how we use your email, we will tell you.
